SUMMARY:

Coordinate the resources of LISD Special Education services to provide leadership and vision regarding current and future trends/interventions/issues in the areas of special education in support and coordination with general education and CTE across Lenawee County.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Master’s Degree or equivalent
• Full approval in Michigan in at least one area of special education
• At least five (5) years successful teaching, consultation, therapy and/or administrative experiences in special education
• At least two (2) years experience as a special education Supervisor
• Must be able to meet eligibility requirements for special education Director within three (3) years of hire in this position

Preferred:

• Experience as a Director or Assistant Director of Special Education
