Lemongrass Salon University is an Aveda Lifestyle salon, offering professional hair, skin, lash, spray tanning, and make-up services and products in the TCU area. We are looking to welcome new people onto our team who are interested in growing in the luxury beauty industry.

Job Summary

The Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for greeting salon guests with a friendly and welcoming smile and will assist guests with retail purchases, checking them in and out for their appointments and booking their services for future visits to the salon. You will be the first person our guests meet and the last impression they leave with, so positive, upbeat, and outgoing personalities are a must! Make-up application skills a DEFINITE plus!

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet guests with care and hospitality
• Begin and end guest transactions
• Assist retail guests with product purchases, make product recommendations, cross department recommendations, and up-selling guests with other products and services they may not know they need or want.
• Schedule appointments for guests
• Have an impeccable level of professionalism. Professional, on-trend attire is a must, as is great hair and skin. We welcome individuality! Tattoos, avant garde hair color and styles, and fashion are always welcome!
• Interact with service providers and guests, filling in with whatever they request to assist them in the complete guest experience, anticipating their needs
• Coordinate throughout the salon, ensuring things are running smoothly, everyone is on time, all the guests are taken care of, help with cleaning and sweeping duties, anticipating needs throughout the salon

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent communication with clients, on phone and in person
• Impeccable sense of what guests need and being a hospitable host/hostess
• Have basic computer skills, enabling you to learn salon booking and point-of-sale software
• Critical thinking and multitasking skills. Must pay attention to detail, have great person to person skills, and be a team player
• Point-Of-Sale experience preferred (opening and closing cash-registers), and salon/beauty industry experience preferred
• Make-Up Artist/Make-Up Application skills a definite plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.50 per hour
