Construction & Real Estate Development firm is seeking a Construction Contract Administrator to be a crucial part of their compelling, formative team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use various documents and read construction plans/blueprints to draft, review, and submit a variety of contracts and scopes of work to the Director
- Negotiate costs with various vendors including goods suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors
- Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate and ensure the completion of various construction-related operatives (schedule needs, documentation, team communication, etc).
- Contribute to the bidding process at times, by preparing bidding documents and working with internal team to stay within project budgets
- Manage contract database and document management systems
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and procedures
- Document and administer all relative needs for various permits and compliance offices
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Must have strong experience with drafting, editing, and reviewing construction contracts/scopes of work
- Experience with the buying & procurement of goods (plumbing fixtures, stones, lighting, etc)
- Willingness to engage in vendor management and contract negotiation (up to $250,000)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and with a strong attention to detail
- Hillside construction (or translatable experience) is a HUGE PLUS
