Overview

We are a growing Medical company with a fast paced culture seeking a Director of Quality with the desire and ability to build a high performing organization.

This is a senior management level position and is responsible for the overall performance of our multiple departments within Quality. The scope of the position will have responsibilities including quality control, compliance, quality engineering, life cycle engineering, and post market surveillance.

It is critical the incumbent will be able to assess and define the capability and resource needs required to meet the evolving demands of our business, market, and customers. In addition, the incumbent must be effective at creating clear alignment with senior leadership and key cross functional partners to ensure success.

Although this is a senior management level position, the incumbent must be willing to roll up their sleeves to help members of their staff complete critical projects when the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Builds a culture of quality and excellence
• Leads various Quality departments including quality control, compliance, quality engineering, life cycle engineering, and post market surveillance.
• Maintains knowledge of existing and emerging industry related regulations, standards, guidance documents, and market requirements and ensures our policies and procedures are updated accordingly
• Ensures each quality department is setup for success – capable of meeting all internal demands, regulations, and customer requirements
• Develops and fosters employee engagement and serves a as mentor and coach to all employees especially managers and directors

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or scientific discipline required. Advanced degrees in engineering or science highly preferred
• A minimum of 12 years’ work experience with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Medical supplies or a related industry required
• Must have previously held a senior management position for a minimum of 3 years with demonstrated success
• Must be effective at developing functional strategies, capabilities, and talent
