JOB SUMMARY

Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Saw Operator to produce moderately complex assembly components by setting up and cutting components as part of the band saw process. This role will be responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment. This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $18.00-$23.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Reads and interprets job order for specifications (i.e. material, type & size of stock and dimensions to be cut).

· Prepares and operates various metal-sawing machines to cut metal stock, including:

· Uses various measuring devices to evaluate work for quality & conformance to specifications.

· Marks identifying data on workpieces as needed.

· Maintains various metal-sawing machines, replacing defective cutting blades or wheels.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· High School diploma/GED

· 1-2 years of machine shop experience

· Authorized to work in the United States of America

· Proficient in the English Language

· Must be 18 years of age

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous experience with custom or production work, various materials & products, and a wide range of workpiece sizes.
