Leister Custom Machining is a fast-growing, custom machining business. We are seeking a CNC Programmer. Our Horace location is our newest addition to our company. We offer a beautiful facility with state-of-the-art equipment.

CNC Programmer Position Summary:

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for implementing machining strategies that drive shop floor efficiency and quality. Creativity, coupled with acute attention to detail, and a willingness to guide CNC Operators will be keys to success. This position is an integral member of Operations team and is expected to provide high quality, first pass yield tool paths, and shop floor documentation. The individual will also be expected to contribute to the LCM's Continuous Improvement activities and help guide us to expanded growth. CNC Programmer Key Responsibilities:

• CNC programming for 3-5 axis mills.
• CNC programming for Lathes
• Design work-holding fixtures
• Lead new technology adoption and implementation.
• Drive CNC programming and machining efficiency by developing deploying best practices.
• Support shop floor setups and knowledge transfer
• Create documentation for the shop floor including tooling lists and setup sheets.
• Training to other team members.
• Observe LCM quality and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe working environment.

CNC Programmer Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required.
• 2 years experience CNC Machinist required.
• 3 years experience in CNC programming required.
• Demonstrated ability to program using Esprit Cam or GibbsCAM experience is required.
• The ability to read blueprints and execute shop math.
• Complete work in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
• Flexible, ability to work in a fast-pace team environment
• Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
• Associate degree in a relevant field and/or other technical certification (Preferred).
• Ability to edit and create CAM Post Processors (Preferred)

Weekend Team Members work Friday - Sunday (3x12) 6am-6:30pm. Work 36 hours get paid for 40 hours.
