Description
The NISC IV Training Group (NTG) within Leidos is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong experience in project scheduling to join our team in Washington, DC, supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Safety Analysis Division (ASA). This position entails collaborating with Licensing Leads across ASA branches to develop and maintain Comprehensive schedules for licensing and evaluation activities, integrating multiple schedules, analyzing critical paths, preparing progress reports, facilitating weekly meetings, and providing proactive support to ensure efficient project management and adherence to timelines.
NOTE:This position is remote. However, the candidate must be local to the DMV area and available for in-office meetings as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with Licensing Leads in the different branches of ASA (ASA-110, ASA-120, and ASA-130) to develop and maintain a detailed schedule for licensing and evaluation activities using MS Project (This involves taking input from the licensing lead gathered from supporting organizations such as ASA-140, ASA-210, ASA-220, ASA-230, and ASA-300).
Must be proactive in collaborating with Licensing Team lead and team members to identify and manage task dependencies.
Must have ability to understand and analyze durations and logic of all phases of the evaluation to ensure credibility of the schedule and to clearly convey critical and near-critical paths.
Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status, and monitoring.
Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports, such as, Gantt, Milestone charts, and other tools to support critical path analysis.
Collaborate with the project teams to gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
Support the Licensing Team Lead in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
Set up, prepare, and maintain weekly/monthly project reports including quantitative progress and analysis and schedule performance.
Work with Licensing Team Leads and Branch Managers to develop escalation and recover schedules as needed.
Provide scenario "what if" planning and quantitative risk analysis of schedule.
Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems.
Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule review meetings.
Perform clerical and administrative tasks associated with the documentation of tasks or projects.
Possess ability to direct and lead others, clearly convey information, actively communicate, and work in a collaborative environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to maintain positive relationships with all project personnel.
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated capability of critical path development, baseline tracking, and master schedule management.
Understanding of licensing lifecycle activities and associated dependencies to include payload and policy reviews, safety reviews, and environmental reviews.
Experience in project management support.
Experience in scheduling projects using an industry accepted scheduling tool. (Primavera OR Microsoft Project, etc.)
Accomplish clear and concise general and technical writing, prepare, and conduct effective technical presentations, provide thorough project monitoring and reporting, and tactfully coordinate with a variety of project stake holders, peers, and management levels.
Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office and MS Power Point, and know how to use the Internet as a data gathering and communicating tool.
Provides organized documentation and has an awareness of general documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Jira Task Management System is a Plus.

Pay Range:Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
