Leidos is Hiring an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Near Bowie, MD

DescriptionLeidos Defense Systems is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to Join our team in Bowie, MD.
You will be part of an IT and engineering team responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, configuration management, monitoring, and trouble shooting of an expanding infrastructure supporting a multi-platform, multi-site, high availability, secure, real-time network. The work to be performed will require that the candidate be able to work comfortably at several levels of support from resolving networks problems, through the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment, software, and services from commercial vendors. Provide updates to management for strategic planning purposes.
Projects and tasks will be assigned and at times self-initiated requiring independent judgement in balancing of resources, schedules, work hours, as well as travel to regional sites to obtain results. Work will require ability to manage the risk for PC workstations and peripherals, and ancillary equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with DAOs, System Owners, SAs and ISSM for Security relevant changes to SSPs.
  • Conduct analysis of the Security Impact Analysis of changes to the network environment/ ATO.
  • Provide RMF subject matter expertise to the team and ISSM.
  • Ensure assessment and authorization packages are completed in accordance with projected timelines and in alignment with customer requirements.
  • Provide reporting to the ISSM and convey top-down information back to the team.
  • On-time submission of contract deliverables with special attention to quality and accuracy.
  • Monitor, track, and report on daily and weekly activities conducted by the ISSM.
  • Evaluate configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Evaluate relevant STIGs and ACAS scans for systems that are implementing a change.
Basic QualificationsThe applicant should have demonstrable skills in the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering or Math with a minimum of 8 years experience.
  • Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP ) CE, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Associate, GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
  • At least five years of DoD and/or Department of Defense Information Technology and Cybersecurity experience with at least five years of experience managing information security personnel.
  • At least 3-7 years of experience with Risk Management, Cybersecurity Management, Security Models and Access Controls, Network Protocols, Cybersecurity Architecture, Software Development Security, STIGS, and Database Security for DoD or Department of the Air Force programs.
Must be a US citizen and possess and maintain a Secret clearance.

Pay RangePay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
