Leidos is seeking an Electronics Systems Test Engineer to support efforts in Dayton, Ohio. As the Electronics Systems Engineer, you will perform circuit-level design and testing and coordination of related systems engineering efforts. When new circuits or related amplifiers and detectors are needed for testing of optical systems, you will help design and develop these capabilities. run the daily testing of sensors using a custom, highly-automated hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) architecture. When new instrumentation needs to be incorporated into the HITL test architecture, you will help develop the interface and modules necessary for integration. It is important that the successful candidate have good design and testing skills. Primary Responsibilities
Perform shielding risk-reduction activities
Support non-characterization test activities including local efforts and outside test lab efforts
Support PCBA build, design review, and troubleshooting
Gather requirements from teams and create system design for radiometric suite electronics and present findings to government leads
Support verification activities and PCBA parts acquisition
Organize the systems engineering design documentation, and apply systems engineering design documentation to continued development of the sensor without future DRA involvement; and
Perform modeling for new sensor research.
Set up of test equipment needed for each day of testing
Running the daily tests
Troubleshooting any problems that arise during the test preparation or runs
Maintaining and managing the instruments used to support the testing
Developing interface modules for new instrumentation when needed
Collecting calibration data for instruments
Documenting the test progress and keeping logs of completed tests
Managing and organizing large amounts of test data

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related with 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
At least one year of experience in PCBA design and one year of optical testing
Strong communication skills to engage with multidiscipline teams
Experience programming in C and C
Proficiency with Matlab
Excellent debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
Experience with optical systems
Understanding of radiometrics
Working knowledge of embedded systems
Understanding of Ethernet TCP/IP and sockets (client/server protocol)
