Description

Leidos is seeking a dynamic Cyber Security Architect to support Special Projects engineering and technical services in the National Security Sector based at Robins AFB with operations located worldwide. Successful candidates will be responsible for leading the integration of cyber security architecture & engineering efforts into the information technology life cycle to customers CONUS and OCONUS in support of OTHR systems and network and information security systems for multiple closed user groups. Additionally, the work entails designing the cyber architecture and design for the TACMOR network optimization project and for existing information systems and networks for the Specialized Management Branch that support various programs. You will ensure all cyber policies are adhered to throughout the lifecycle and ensure final products meet or exceed cyber requirements. You will provide cyber expertise to the engineering team for system enhancements, software installation, integration, testing, and deployment services for closed user groups in support of intelligence systems.
Primary Responsibilities
You will provide Cybersecurity architecture and engineering leadership to ensure the requirements, design, integration and testing activities meet cybersecurity standards and policies. You will be part of an engineering team and lead the integration for security concepts, controls, and mechanisms into the design and architecture phases to produce a reliably secure product. Duties include, but are not limited to; architecture, engineering, implementation, integration, maintenance and improvement of systems to meet specific requirements for building software/hardware components and supporting technical infrastructure. Additional responsibilities may include technical planning, technical design, development and integration, verification and validation that provide support to the Special Projects secure communications and data transfer network. You will also be responsible for providing Cyber and IA support for new OTHR systems that are in the development phase of the SDLC and requires engineering and security architecture design, integration and install, test, and deploy to operations. You will be providing cyber oversight for the sustaining secure communications operational data transfer between various CONUS and OCONUS sites.
  • Provide Cybersecurity and information assurance expertise to the TACMOR Network Optimization project
  • Provide cyber expertise for CUG tech refreshes and provide cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps for applying Zero Trust and advanced cyber resiliency techniques
  • Influence the development of solutions that impact the TACMOR strategic project/program goals
  • Lead and manage work of other cyber staff
  • Clearly communicate with the Closed User Group Lead, TACMOR Network Engineering Lead, and TACMOR Program Manager
  • Ensure systems are properly maintained and updated to address vulnerabilities, meet all cybersecurity requirements, ATO packages are submitted on time
  • Ensure new and existing products conform to information security policies, standards, and best practices
  • Support the customer in researching, evaluating, planning, designing, engineering, and delivering cybersecurity solutions
  • Review and ensure compliance with customer security policies and requirements
  • Review new and existing system designs for compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of enterprise operations
Basic Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering or other technical discipline and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or 12 years of experience without a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other cybersecurity experts in the development of complex DoD systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the RMF
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex cybersecurity problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to travel when needed by the program
  • CompTIA Security Certification
  • CISSP Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNA Certification
  • CEH Certification
  • Masters degree in a technical or business field
  • Previous experience working Air Force programs and systems

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
