Leidos is seeking an experienced Sr Android Software Engineer to support on a new, large, multi-year contract for systems engineering, integration, software and mobile development modernize program.

Primary Responsibilities

• Development within the mobile platform ecosystem- Android and Windows
• Design custom software tools and techniques for the Android platform
• Responsible for end-to-end design and development of custom software
• Diagnose and debug issues
• Firm understanding of how networks work
• Develop documentation pertinent to operating and supporting developed software and techniques; Lead junior-level developers to accomplish objectives
• Solve real-time cyber challenges

Basic Qualifications

• Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8-12 years software engineering experience with coding in languages. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree
• Strong Android mobile development experience with Java and Kotlin and native Android frameworks
• Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages such as C , ARM, assembly, Python, PERL, JaveScript
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Expert level knowledge of security concepts, networks, device drivers, & system internals are applied in daily tasks
• Expert knowledge in at least one technology area (e.g. Windows, Unix, Mobile, Network devices)
• Software Analysis/Reverse Engineering experience
• Embedded systems development experience
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and time management skills are a must
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, across diverse systems and groups

Desired Qualifications

• Experience using Android Studio
• Experience with Android SDK
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience integrating Native Android components
