Your Role: Science Teacher

We are hiring a science teacher who are/is knowledgeable, energetic, inspiring and nurturing in their approach to classroom instruction. Our teachers lead students toward the fulfillment of their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social potential. The School District of Lee County (SDLC) is looking for individuals with a Bachelor’s degree and eligibility to obtain a Florida Teaching Certificate.You must have a deep passion and commitment for working with young children and their families, and for collaborating with your colleagues and experts in the field(s) your students are studying. Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan an individualized program that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and sparks student interest.
  • Diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of each individual learner and employ instructional methods and materials that foster growth and learning.
  • Use appropriate technology in teaching and the learning process.
  • Support school improvement initiatives by actively participating in school activities, services, and programs.
