Category Management Analyst
We are searching for a highly skilled category management analyst to work with the sales and marketing team at Lehi Valley in Mesa Arizona. We sell to supermarket and convenience store retailers our products for Branded and Private Label. This person would own the category analysis, strategies, and presentations in support of the sales and marketing team. In this role, you will be required to keep the sales team up to date on their account results and action steps using category management methodologies. You will also be required to analyze market and category conditions for new product introductions and overall category strategy recommendations. Other activities will include market price checks and product assortment changes, marketing analysis, and other internal reporting as requested.
To ensure success, you should be able to pinpoint customer/shopper trends and understand the advanced principles of category management. A top-notch category manager will be persuasive, sales-driven, goal-oriented, and excellent at exposing the opportunities for sales growth.
This role has no purchasing accountability. It is a support role. Sales goals will be set for benchmarking success of analysis and presentation results.

CM Analyst Responsibilities:
Researching and analyzing trend in sales and categories for the company.
Researching and analyzing trends in sales and categories for each of our customers.
Drafting reports and presentations for the organization outlining sales results and strategies.
Drafting reports and presentation for the sales team for account updates or new customer outreach.
Planning and presenting planograms for customers
Producing, adapting, and advising on current marketing materials as needed.
Help plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories
Market analysis on price, assortment, category trends at retailers
Coordinating and briefing market research initiatives to peers
Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities
Manage and track budget
CM Analyst Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or supply chain management.
At least 5 years of experience in retail category management
Up to date with the latest category management principles.
Proficient at evaluating current business retail practices.
Ability to write well and generate reports on market activity.
Ability to think from a consumer perspective and understand buying behavior.
Analytical, creative, and goal-driven thinking.
You have strong interpersonal skills and can build relationships with and influence stakeholders.
You are organized and able to juggle multiple priorities and deliverables.
