As a Site Maintenance Technician at our attraction, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall visitor experience of our site. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the site to the highest standards while adhering to safety protocols. Your dedication to excellence and proactive approach will contribute significantly to the success of our attraction and experience of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the site is a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors, maintaining a satisfaction level of 95% or above.
• Implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability at all times.
• Conduct regular checks and assessments to ensure the safety and functionality of site facilities and building infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain written risk assessments and safe working systems, promoting a culture of safety throughout the site.
• Collaborate closely with the site team to address maintenance needs and support ongoing operations.
• Follow established opening and closing procedures outlined in the department's operating plan.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor towards visitors, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
• Perform daily health and safety checks, including fire safety inspections, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacements, painting, and general repairs to uphold site standards.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of new equipment as part of site development projects.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems is advantageous.
• Proficiency in facilities maintenance areas such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, particularly in emergency situations.
• Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to effectively communicate and problem-solve with visitors and colleagues.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support site operations.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the facility, and interact with guests and colleagues.

Health & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with maintenance, safety, and security procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Security policies and procedures outlined by the Merlin Entertainments Group.
• Identify and report any new risks or safety concerns to the appropriate manager promptly.
• Practice safe working procedures and considerate behavior towards others during work activities.
• Report any incidents or accidents to the duty manager in a timely manner.
