Join our team and discover a rewarding career where you can make a difference in your dancing shoes!ResponsibilitiesProvide students with opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills in two or more styles of danceThe content includes in-depth knowledge and application of techniques or two or more dance styles (ballet, jazz, modern, theater, or tap), knowledge of dance terminology, and knowledge of basic choreography of movement sequencesReviews student records in order to develop a foundation of understanding regarding each student's abilities and needsPresents subject matter to students to maximize learning opportunityRefer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnelCoordinates class field tripsPrepares students for school presentationsEstablishes effective rapport with students, staff members and parents QualificationsOur ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Dance experience.A love and passion for working with children.Experience working with children between the ages of 18 months-18 years preferred.Reliable transportation for traveling within locations in the Bay AreaExcellent communication skillsAn eagerness to learn and grow!Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of dance instruction experience.Additional InformationCompensation: $25-40/hr. depending on individual experience, education and position requirements.Each year students ages 3 through adults have the opportunity to perform in our Annual Recital at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre in Orlando. The 2000 seat theatre is the home to many top performers and the Orlando Broadway series. The rehearsal and recital always run on time moving from number to number with only a few seconds between. Dismissal is in an orderly fashion taking no more than 15 minutes. Organization of the show is top priority at Leggz.
