Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to attorneys and assist in various legal tasks. Your role will involve project management, administrative duties, data entry, and legal case management. The ideal candidate will have experience with document review, iManage, Westlaw, and possess strong organizational skills.
Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits and other trial materials
- Review and summarize legal documents for attorneys
- Perform data entry tasks to update case management systems
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or similar role
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and regulations
- Proficiency in using legal case management software (iManage preferred)
- Familiarity with Westlaw or other legal research tools
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
