THE ROLE

Legends is currently seeking to fill a position as Project Manager. The Project Manager will report to the Sr. Project Manager, Project Director, or Project Executive, and will be responsible for overseeing design and implementing the day-to-day on-site activities through turnover and closeout of the project. The Project Manager will interact with the design team and construction team in a collaborative approach for the effective execution of the work. We are looking for experienced industry professionals with previous experience in sports venue development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor and guide progress of design team and construction team on the following project elements such as: Structural, architectural, interiors, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, utilities, low voltage and foodservice, FF&E and others as required to support the Project Director or Project Executive.
  • Create and monitor project budgets and monitor adherence by all parties to the agreed budgets regarding the above described responsibilities including invoice reviews and approvals
  • Monitor adherence to the agreed project schedule, and advise of recovery measures as may be required.
  • Report on quality of the work and manage resolution of all non-compliance items including jobsite inspections.
  • Assist in obtaining all permits, inspections and approvals.
  • Assist the Project Controls Engineer at maintaining current project files associated to the assigned tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Assist turnover of the project to the client, and closeout of all assigned project contracts, accounts, and documentation.
  • Attend necessary meetings and, if necessary, keep minutes of meetings for record purposes
  • Create or contribute to reporting to ownership

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture or Engineering is preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as project engineer, assistant project manager, project manager or construction administration representative for a major design, construction or program management firm.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, quickly establishing credibility with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Procore, Project, and BIM360. Please highlight any other programs/applications that you have proficiency in.
  • Ability to multi-task, and produce all deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Applicant must be willing to travel or be willing to relocate.
  • Applicant must have the ability to work effectively in fast-paced jobsite environments.
  • Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours due to the accelerated nature of the projects and available to travel.
