Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Manager, Campaign Strategy and Lifecycle Marketing to lead and oversee a dynamic team of 4 lifecycle marketeers. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven, technical, and innovative marketeer with a proven track record in developing and executing successful lifecycle marketing strategies that directly influence key business drivers across multiple programs and channel surfaces. This role offers the opportunity to shape the customer journey, drive customer engagement, and enhance our brand's impact. This role reports into the Senior Director, Lifecycle Marketing and will be a close partner to product management and product marketing leaders to align campaign strategy across all of our lines of business.

As Group Manager for our campaign strategy team, you will be directly responsible for defining our audiences and messaging across our email and SMS surface channels as well as defining the campaigns cadence that optimizes our programming across our SMB and Consumer audiences. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a player-coach—delegate and achieve quality work through others while owning your own programming and ensuring overall group success while mentoring and leading your team. You will need to know how to use data analytics tools, such as Tableau, to not just view performance but to dive in across multiple views to derive the insights needed while setting new requirements for more data visualizations to be built. You will need to be a team player who is unconcerned with placing blame while simultaneously identifying root causes of positive and negative impacts and how to amplify or mitigate them.

A day in your life will often involve opening your insights and analytics dashboards to check program performance across your team and passing questions to your team for performance signal; meeting with the Group Manager, Marketing Technology—a peer on Lifecycle Marketing—to align on campaign prioritization, audience targeting, and campaign build processes; meeting with product marketing managers to create, edit, and review campaign briefs and audit for copy, audiences, cadence; meeting with data science and data engineering to review propensity models and provide requirements for new models and audiences that feed into our customer data platform; designing experiments within the email and SMS channels that constantly optimize campaign performance; and working on broad install-base comms (such as newsletters) that have wide reach and looking for opportunities to surprise and delight our customers.
You will

  • Strategy Development: Lead the creation, implementation, and optimization of comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies that encompass customer acquisition, expansion, and retention. Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of 4 lifecycle marketing professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Campaign Execution: Oversee the development and execution of personalized and targeted marketing campaigns across various stages of the customer lifecycle. Utilize segmentation and data analysis to deliver relevant content, offers, and experiences that drive engagement and conversions.
  • Customer Segmentation and Insights: Leverage customer data and insights to create actionable segments, personas, and behavioral profiles. Use these insights to tailor marketing strategies and optimize customer journeys for maximum impact.
  • Automation and Technology: Drive the utilization of marketing automation platforms and technology tools to enhance efficiency, scale campaigns, and deliver a seamless customer experience. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for lifecycle marketing efforts and regularly analyze campaign results, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Present findings to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Customer Support, and Data Analytics, to align strategies, share insights, and ensure consistent messaging and customer experiences throughout the lifecycle.

You have

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years of direct experience in lifecycle marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team of marketing professionals.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
