Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned NLP Data Scientist with a specialty in legal data, geared towards product development and enhancement. Join our vibrant team at LegalOn, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming the landscape of legal technology. Your expertise in applying advanced generative AI and data science methodologies will be instrumental in evolving our product strategy and processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading product design, implementation, and management, ensuring that our offerings remain at the cutting edge of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze legal text-related data often using NLP tools.
  2. Collaborate with legal teams, engineers, and product managers to integrate NLP in legal document analysis and contract management.
  3. Build legal data collection, processing, and integration pipelines for NLP model training and fine-tuning.
  4. Develop NLP system evaluation methods, including manual annotation and authoritative legal content analysis.
  5. Conduct experiments to assess LLM model performance and identify improvement areas.
  6. Analyze LLM model results to derive actionable insights for contract-related decisions.
  7. Perform comprehensive evaluations of LLM models focusing on legal accuracy, fairness, compliance, and robustness.
  8. Maintain data quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, presenting complex findings clearly and clearly.
  10. Document work for audit and compliance and present findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or related field.
  • Experience in NLP, ideally in legal NLP.
  • Deep understanding of deep learning models, especially autoregressive text models.
  • Proficiency in text-relevant programming languages, such as Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising between technical teams and experts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for effective NLP methods.
