Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Case Manager Assistant will provide case management support and work closely with Case Managers and employment team to support clients receiving services within resettlement and placement, and Matching Grant and state funded employment programs. The objective of the Case Manager Assistant is to ease the transition, empower the refugee, and put programs" participants on the path to self-sufficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist Case Managers with the completion of all core services mandated through the Department of State Cooperative Agreement within allocated timeframes.
  • Provide extended case management and support services to clients enrolled in the Matching Grant program
  • Assist in the collection of data for reports, such as MG-5s.
  • Complete all forms as required.
  • Maintain accurate record of all services provided through detailed and complete case notes.
  • Make referrals as appropriate.
  • Work as part of the program team and participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
  • Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: human services
  • Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of
  • Study: social work, or human services
Experience:
  • 1 plus years of experience in resettling refugees; case management
Computer Skills:
  • Basic experience with hardware - navigation, saving functions and the Internet,
  • Basic experience with software - Microsoft Office, data entry systems,
  • Basic experience with time clocks and HRIS tools.
Other Requirements:
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Fluency in one or more of the following languages -Arabic, French, Burmese, or Nepalese
  • Language preferred;
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to drive passenger vans
