Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Research new product ideas, competitors' products and prices
  • Review and summarize key features or differences for competitor products
  • Set up and run pricing model or spreadsheet to evaluate product or price change
  • Summarize financial impact of any new products or product changes
  • Document final pricing results
  • Assist with all areas of the Pricing process
  • Expand pricing analysis to all eligible age/class/gender combinations
  • Update pricing models with new rates and assumptions
  • Run actuarial model, analyze and communicate results
  • Assist with analysis to changes in actuarial assumptions
  • Set up and run actuarial projection models
  • Reconcile differences from results under previous assumptions
  • Analyze, summarize, and communicate results
  • Complete testing of policy administration and sales illustration systems
  • Work with Product Systems engineer to develop and execute test plan
  • Assist in development and maintenance of an independent test tool
  • Identify, summarize, and communicate any differences between test tool and production systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education

BS / BA degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field

Completion of 2 Actuarial Exams, preferred

Experience

Internship, preferred

Life insurance knowledge, preferred

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Team player on cross-functional teams

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Strong documentation skills

Actuarial software
