Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating, and litigating cases.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Provide legal advice to clients
- Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Proven experience in legal research, writing, negotiation, and litigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research
- Experience in legal administrative tasks
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
- Strong legal drafting skills for various documents
- Litigation experience including court appearances
