Legacy Treatment Services is Hiring a Residential Counselor Near Columbus, NJ

The Shine Program is a group home for adolescents in a community setting. We are looking for direct support professionals to make a positive difference with the Consumers in the program. If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference and change lives for the better, then this job could be for you! On a daily basis, you can expect to:

  • Relate with adolescents, understand what they are going through in their lives and build rapport
  • Show adolescents that they can change their lives on their own by giving them direction
  • Attend and accompany academic events, shopping, community integration, socialization skills, family reunification and medical visits
  • Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to keep adolescents on the right track
  • Assist in teaching life skills, such as cooking, laundry and cleaning
  • Get moving and go outside to play basketball, tennis, hiking, bean bag toss and other activities
  • Lead by example and have a positive mindset
  • Assist youth with medication administration

Part Time 2nd shift 3p-11p

What do you need?

This position requires either a High School Diploma or equivalent, or a Bachelor's Degree. You must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.

Legacy will train you on CPR, First Aid, Nurtured Heart, Safe Crisis Management and Ukeru.
