The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience within their store. They are responsible for maintaining a friendly, clean, well stocked store, receiving purchase orders, transfers, and tracking special orders. They'll assist with the implementation of company policies and goals, as well as the staff schedule; including filling in for an emergency. They will provide training of Sales Associates, and Shift Leads; providing regular updates to the Manager about employee progress, concerns, and scheduling needs. They'll monitor inventory, including organization of the back room and sales floor as well as sharing new product information with sales team. The Assistant Manager ensures the sales floor is shop-able at all times. It is the express duty of the Assistant Manager to maintain a positive working environment for ALL.

• General Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and directing customers
2. Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing, special orders, etc...)
3. Answer customers' questions about specific products/services
4. Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
5. Cross-sell products
6. Ensure racks are fully stocked
7. Coordinate with the Sales team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
8. Stay up-to-date with new products/services
9. Engage in positive conversation with customers of all ages
10. Help educate customers on our products, including demonstrations when possible
11. Complete Customer Checkouts
12. Properly Representing the Legacy Toys Brand Experience
13. Training Shift Leads and Sales Associates
14. Inventory Management and Merchandising
15. Cleanliness on the sales floor and in the backroom
16. Ensuring Store Schedules and Objectives are met by Team Members
17. Make someone's day a little brighter

• YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

1. Appropriately representing the Legacy Toys brand in a positive way to everyone while working and away from work as well.
2. Engaging with all guests and finding opportunities to re-engage with them throughout their visit in an appropriate and entertaining way.
3. Assisting the Store Manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy and policies
4. Coordinate daily customer service operations (e.g. sales processes, orders and payments)
5. Delegating and ensuring store schedules and objectives are met by team members
6. Communicate customer and team concerns with the Store Manager
7. Inventory questions and, or requests
8. Provide leadership to sales team
9. Effectively uses training manual to assist training of Sales Associates and Shift Leads
10. Evaluate team performance and identify training and hiring needs
11. Ensure all team members adhere to policies and procedures
12. Facilitates growth of teams Product Knowledge through demonstrations, education, and clinics
13. Adhering the Legacy Toys personal conduct policy

• WHAT YOU BRING TO LEGACY TOYS:

1. Proven work experience as an Assistant Store Manager or similar role
2. Understanding the retail sales process
3. Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
4. Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
5. Basic math skills
6. Track record of achieving sales quotas
7. Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
8. Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
9. Flexibility to work various shifts
10. Completes task with enthusiasm, and positivity (both are contagious)
