Legacy NWI is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team at a community in Plymouth, Indiana ! This position is responsible for ensuring the property, grounds, and units are safe, orderly, and visibly appealing. The right person will be self-motivated, provide outstanding customer service, and will take immense pride in their work. The Maintenance Technician must act with a sense of urgency and have an unparalleled passion for customer service. Salary Range: $20 to $23 an hour depending on experience.
What you will do:
Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive residential maintenance throughout the facility including apartment turns.
Diagnose problems and repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances.
Confirm that work order requests are responded to promptly and professionally.
Ensure residential units have been turned for a new resident in a timely and efficient manner, as well as determining if work has been completed properly.
Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promote quality living experience.
Provide on-call service when scheduled and perform emergency maintenance work when required.
Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness, and addresses items that need to be repaired.
Assist Manager with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors.
Partner with Manager to obtain bids from outside contractors, as well as oversee contractor work for completeness.
Assist with purchasing maintenance supplies for the property.
while staying within the planned budget.
Accurately prepare and submit property invoices in accordance with established guidelines.
Communicate with supervisor regarding the overall maintenance function of the property.
Participate in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
Comply with all Company National Standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
