Legacy Memory Care at Kinston, LLC is Hiring an Assisted Living Administrator Near Kinston, NC

Legacy Memory Care at Kinston is looking for an experienced Administrator. Must hold an Adult Care Home Administrator's License in NC. Experience with business office and RCC duties a plus. Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check.

EXPERIENCE: Previously held the position of an “Administrator or Executive Director”.

JOB REQUIRMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish and maintains operation of facility. Directs, coordinates and supervises all daily activity of the facility. Complies with all federal, State and local standards for Adult Care Homes. Supervises maintenance of building, grounds and equipment. Follows the established accounting system policies to meet operating cost. Assist in the development of the annual budget. Complies with personnel policies and department policies and procedures. Maintains good public relations and employee morale. Interprets company philosophy and all policies to staff and other concerned parties. Sets tone and atmosphere of the facility. Represents the facility in outside activities. Reports to the facility owner on a regular basis.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old. Must be willing to work with bona fide inspectors and the monitoring and licensing agencies toward meeting and maintaining the rules and regulations for adult care homes. They must provide at least three current letters of reference, including a former employer. The Administrator must verify that they have worked in a licensed domiciliary facility for at least 30 days in an on-the-job training program approved by the Department of Human Resources; or must verify that he/she has past education, training and experience related to the management and operations of the adult residential care facilities. The Administrator must verify that he/she earns 15 CEU related to the management of domiciliary homes and care of aged and disables persons in accordance with procedures established by the Department of Human Resources. The Administrator must pass a written examination to demonstrate working knowledge of rules and regulations. They must be a high school graduate or certified under the GED program.

DUTIES:

  • Assist in establishing policies pertaining to total resident care, personnel, medical staff, financial status, public relations, maintenance of the building grounds.
  • Explain polices and procedures to residents, and visitors etc.
  • Review policies and procedures periodically and makes recommendations to ownership.
  • Reviews compliance of Adult Home Care with Federal, State, and local standards.
  • Interviews and hires competent personnel.
  • Counsel and terminate employees as established by the company.
  • Meets with department heads on a regular basis to discuss problems and possible solutions.
  • Participates in and conducts in-service training for all personnel.
  • Reviews and checks records of Resident Care staff on a regular basis, i.e. (MAR’s, Personal Care Flow Sheets).
  • Receives suggestions from department heads on matters pertaining to department operations and external relationships
  • Assists personnel and residents in establishing a home like atmosphere.
  • Assists in preparing an annual budget with the owner of business
  • Collects and deposit Accounts Receivable on a daily basis. If any problems collecting, make ownership aware in a prompt manner.
  • Maintains working relationships with community facilities and other health care facilities.
  • Represents facility in dealing with outside agencies, including governmental and third party payers.
  • Reviews the physical environment and plant operations of the facility on a regular basis.
  • Keeps current all logs pertaining to the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Administrator: 2 years (Preferred)
    • Long term care: 5 years (Preferred)

    License/Certification:

    • NC Adult Care Home Administrator's License (Required)
