Clinical Director
The Clinical Director serves as the team leader for clinical staff including BCBAs and Behavior Technicians. The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing clinical operations to establish a high standard of quality ABA services. The Clinical Director will be responsible to provide guidance and training to all clinical staff, and to communicate with clients’ caregivers and payors as needed. The Clinical Director is expected to maintain their BCBA license and meet current state requirements. The Clinical Director is expected to report to and take direction from the COO. The COO will determine when additional support staff is necessary for the Clinical Director to complete all tasks associated with the role.
Clinical Director Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Director will ensure that each client is assigned to a BCBA who will perform all tasks associated with the role (including assessment, supervision, parent training, supervision etc.). Clinical Director will also oversee the BCBAs’ performance to ensure the quality of all aspects of treatment. The Clinical Director will be directly assigned to clients and expected to perform the roles of the BCBA initially, until COO determines that additional BCBA(s) should be hired.
- The Clinical Director is responsible for the creation and maintenance of all clinical aspects of Central Reach including but not limited to, treatment plan and assessment templates, session note templates, learning tree structure, instructional note templates, discharge reports etc. Additionally, the Clinical Director will ensure that each client’s learning tree and session are active and relevant.
- The Clinical Director will create and ensure successful implementation of the onboarding training process for clinical staff including BCBAs and Behavior Technicians.
- The Clinical Director will be available to speak to clients and families to support the therapy process. This includes attending meetings with parents or other caregivers when necessary.
- The Clinical Director is responsible to oversee the quality assurance process as it relates to ethical guidelines, and guidelines set up by relevant payors. Quality assurance expectations and processes will apply to treatment plans, assessments, session notes and data collection requirements. Quality assurance will also include overseeing the utilization of authorized hours.
- The Clinical Director will serve as Responsible Supervisor for all Behavior Technicians or BCaBAs pursuing their Experience Fieldwork. Additionally, the Clinical Director will serve as RBT Requirements Coordinator for all RBTs. The Clinical Director will stay up to date with all BACB requirements associated with these roles.
- The Clinical Director will provide ongoing clinical training to BCBAs and Behavior Technicians, when determined necessary by COO.
