Personal Care Assistant
Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in need, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring hospice care or assisted living.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience or knowledge in senior care, hospice care, or assisted living is preferred.
- Ability to work with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
