Provides medical leadership, oversight, direction and support for Internal Medicine/ Family Practice programs of a clinic site.
Collaborates with Clinic Manager, Director, Medical Director, and staff to ensure the development and implementation of outpatient standards of care, policies and procedures for patients meanwhile meeting the regulations and guidelines of appropriate government agencies and accrediting organizations.
Leads and/or participates in first level of performance counseling of physician/APPs at site. Provides clinical direction, education and support to Internal Medicine/Family Practice staff. Completes annual performance reviews for physicians/APPs employed at clinic site. Participates in recruitment and hiring as appropriate.
Experience:
Minimum of two years’ experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred.
Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff.
Education:
Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical school or equivalent.
Completed approved residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
Qualifications:
Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
