Legacy Group Holdings, LLC is Hiring a Scaffold Builder Helper/Apprentice Near Mobile, AL

Summary: Reliable and driven Individuals with minimal or no Scaffolding experience can enter a career with Legacy Group Holdings, LLC as a Scaffold Builder Helper or Apprentice depending on an evaluation from our Training Team. Scaffold Builder Helper is an entry-level position which enables new candidates with minimal or no Scaffolding experience to learn the mental and physical demands of the scaffolding industry. You will learn how to construct, assemble, maintain and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. 
  • Determine type of scaffold needed.
  • Inspect job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
  • Effectively communicate safety hazards and mitigate avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
  • Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold to the dimensions required.
  • Hoist scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
  • Properly secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
  • Properly secure scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, site specific and Legacy Group requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
  • Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
  • Dismantle scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
  • Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
  • Willingness to travel for assignments lasting from a few days to several months.
Responsibilities - Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Legacy Group’s policies & procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
Note - It will be necessary to travel or commute for this position.

Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Depending on the job site, certain certificates or licenses may be required.
Other Skills and Abilities - For safety reasons, it is imperative that the employee be able to read and speak English.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and vibration. COMPENSATION
Starting salary: $10.00/Hour
Overtime: After 40 Hours
Per-diem: $25.00
Lodging provided
Transportation provided from office to assignment.
