Overview:
This is a seasonal position that is responsible for the day to day security of a manufactured housing/RV community. This position reports directly to the Property Manager. Work is primarily outside and requires a reasonable amount of physical ability to perform many of the required tasks.
Position Responsibilities (If applicable):
• Patrol Property, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditions.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and access points
• Be visible, courteous, and observant always, greeting residents, guests, and vendors.
• Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately.
• Must provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents that may have occurred.
• Help enforce all property rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Must be able to work weekends, nights, and summer holidays
• Must be able to handle confrontation and be adept to deescalating conflict
• Possess the ability to enforce property rules and identify emergency situations
• Valid Driver’s License and Satisfactory driving record
• Needs to have the level of fitness that allows for parts of property rounds to be walked
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Excellent time management skills
• Helpful courteous attitude
• Excellent knowledge of security protocols
• Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 30lbs
Working Hours
The season for this position starts on April 29th and ends on October 31st. This position is a full-time, salaried position with a work schedule for 8 hours a day/40 hours per week, normally Monday through Friday. Working schedule will be 5pm to 1am. Even though there is a standard work schedule listed above, this work schedule may vary depending on the community needs. Any variation in the work schedule needs to be communicated with the Property Manager.
