POSITION TITLE: Production Control Planner
DEPARTMENT: Scheduling
POSITON REPORTS TO: Production Control Manager
Position Purpose:
LeFiell Manufacturing, an Employee Owned (ESOP) Company well established in the global aerospace industry, seeks an experienced Production Control Planner to join our team. The Production Control Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining product schedules and timelines to ensure that product delivery schedules are met.
Summary of Duties:
o Creates production schedules and capacity plans, publishes production schedules and requirements
o Handles all phases of the ERP system , ordering material, releasing material to the shop, and rescheduling as needed
o Ensures compliance with order policies based on contract specifications; batch size, lead times, CRP
o Check status of shop orders, including tooling and experimental
o Update charts on parts status and codes as applicable
o Communicates with Manufacturing Managers regarding order schedules and delays
o Verify delivery status by calling or visiting vendors to ensure on time delivery schedules
o Develop priority list for vendor for delivery dates and milestone charts for customers with delayed delivery schedules
o Verify inventory levels and reschedule deliveries when necessary to maintain required inventory levels
o Review contracts for performance and schedules
o Communicates with customers as needed; provides updates on order status, delays
o Establish MRP parameters including lot size, minimum quantity, safety stock and others
o Manage variety of internal reports
o Carries out day-to-day work following the departments continuous improvement plan
Background and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Education: Higher Education Preferred
Certification: Forklift certification preferred
Experience, knowledge and skills:
A production control planner with years of overall experience. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing environment background, preferably aerospace. Candidate will have experience with scheduling, rescheduling, inventory management, and setting shipping schedules. Familiarity with MRP systems.

o ITAR verifiable
