Description

Summary
Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes, but not limited to the following:

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
• Drive forklift to convey materials over distances on company property.
• Clears trucks of garbage or discarded materials.
• Loads trailers and trucks to prepare for scheduled jobs.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to navigate a smart phone or tablet for various web based applications and regular use of Microsoft Office suite (Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel), Google and Explorer internet browsers for web based software systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Qualified candidates will be EPA certified. All Warehouse Workers must hold a current driver license.
