The News & Advance is now hiring a part-time DM Assistant in the Lynchburg area. Let your customer service and problem solving skills provide the foundation for success.

DM Assistant assists District Supervisor with newspaper delivery, sales, collections, and customer service for an assigned geographical area.

This includes working closely with independent contractors. There will be times the DM Assistant distributes the publications.

A commitment to customer service excellence and complaint resolution is a main priority for this role.

Must have valid driver's license, dependable vehicles, auto insurance, and be able to work a flexible schedule that varies.

Typical schedule is between 2 am 7 am.

DM Assistant

Lynchburg and surrounding areas

This position is the direct link between the District Supervisors and customers. This person must be able to work flexible hours as the situation demands.

Required Experience / Skills :

Must be dependable.

Required skills include organizational skills, problem solving, evaluating and setting priorities, good judgment, good communication skills, good attention to detail, and accuracy.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Assists District Supervisors with the day-to-day operation of the distribution of the newspaper including multiple newspapers, TMC products, third party samples, NIE, partner publications and other products as assigned.

This position assists District Supervisors with sales, service and collection efforts for a designated geographical area (district).
