**This is an onsite position in Fort Myers. The starting salary for this position is $44,100.00 but it could vary slightly based on experience. New employees are hired at or near the starting salary shown depending on qualifications and relevant experience. **

The Trainer supports the growth and development of customer facing representatives by facilitating on-the-job training. The incumbent contributes to the overall effectiveness and job readiness of new representatives ensuring employees acquire the necessary skills to meet the organizational and departmental needs.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the performance development team to facilitate on-the-job training of customer facing representatives, including sharing expectations and organizational culture.
• Oversees new employee cashiering functions; audits and verifies to ensure funds are processed accurately and according to departmental procedures; balances daily revenues with end-of-day totals.
• Assists with new hire training success checks and provides regular feedback regarding trainee progress to the performance development team and to management.
• Provides training program feedback, including opportunities for improvement, to the performance development team.
• Responds to trainee requests or concerns; researches problems and collaborates with management and the performance development team to resolve problems.
• Performs Customer Service Representative duties when not providing on-the-job training or performing other assigned performance development and improvement functions, in order to maintain expert knowledge of procedures and processes.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and participates in applicable professional growth opportunities in order to remain up to date on policies, procedures, bulletins, applicable laws and legislation; professional literature and agency updates.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in business, adult learning, or related field; classroom or individual training experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
• Experience with Motor Vehicle, Driver License and Identification Card, Business Tax Receipt, Real Estate Tax, and Hunting and Fishing transactions preferred.
• Minimum Specialist Level (or equivalent) Tax Collector experience and proficiency with Industry standard applications required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resourceful, organized, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Patient, empathetic and good understanding of adult learning methods.

FLSA Status Description
Work is performed independently under limited supervision with considerable latitude. Position typically requires processing and interpreting complex, less clearly defined issues.
Work Conditions
Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and material of medium to heavy weight (20-50 lbs.). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals, and to communicate orally and in writing.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
