Responsibilities of the Wet Paint/Powder Coat Technician

• Mentor and train team members in all aspects of powder coat and wet paint
• Wash, prep, and mask sheet metal and machined parts
• Apply powder coating or wet paint per customer specifications
• Mix paint per manufacturer instructions
• Inspect work for quality
• Maintain equipment
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Perform additional tasks and projects as required

Qualifications of the Wet Paint/Powder Coat Technician

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in painting/powder coating
• Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills; previous team leader experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple high complexity projects in a cross-functional environment
