Our growing, fast-paced manufacturing client needs a detail-oriented professional to manage payroll and support their HR department, while delivering excellent customer service to employees. This is a great full-time role in a friendly, team-oriented work culture. Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist
- Process payroll
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare payroll reports and tax filings
- Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and new hire paperwork
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including managing calendars and scheduling meetings
- Assist employees with payroll and HR inquiries
- Maintain accurate files
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Perform additional tasks and projects as required
Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required
- 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Prior experience with HR generalist duties
- Team player with professional communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to organize information, commit to deadlines, and adapt and multitask with ease
- Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Google Suite and payroll software
- Knowledge of Paylocity and/or NetSuite a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
