A Dover, NH community-based organization is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist for their team! In this full-time, direct-hire role, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions, as well as preparing regular financial reports, analyzing data, and more. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a nonprofit organization and has the required skills for the role.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

• Review and process invoices; prepare and issue payments
• Record and process incoming payments
• Prepare journal entries
• Prepare financial statements on a regular and ad hoc basis
• Identify areas of improvement within accounting procedures and make recommendations
• Analyze financials and make recommendations based on analysis
• Prepare grants and proposals
• Perform other related tasks and projects, as required

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 2 years of similar accounting experience
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Highly organized and able to meet deadlines
