Position Summary:

The Warehouse Representative is responsible for accurately processing all incoming goods and outgoing orders in a timely manner as well as ensuring all goods are neatly and accurately stored. The position is also responsible for maintaining bin locations on all goods and maintaining the warehouse in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly manner.

Completing the work assigned by others in a timely, safe and accurate manner are integral components of this position. The Warehouse Representative works in a warehouse environment, working either on his/her own or with a co-worker.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Receiving:

• Perform all types of repairs on small rental equipment
• Receive shipments from carrier - verifying shipment to carrier waybill and documenting any over, shorts,

and damage

• Generate receiving reports for incoming stock orders
• Receive goods, correctly identifying goods received and verifying received quantity against vendor packing

slip

• Stock goods received, ensuring goods are placed in correct bin location or assign new bin location to goods

not previously inventoried

• File vendor packing slips and carrier waybill copies
• Receive inter-branch stock transfers
• Process credits

Order fill/Shipping

• Remove printed orders from printer in timely manner, reviewing shipping requirements, and determine urgency of order

• Pull items listed on order from inventory
• Notify sales staff of any inventory discrepancies encountered when filling order.
• Pack order. Check all items pulled against packing slip to ensure order accuracy
• Prepare shipping documentation for order - bill of lading and/or carrier waybill
• Contact carrier to request pickup
• File packing slip copies
• File bills of lading & carrier waybill copies for outgoing shipments
• Answer branch inquiries on orders
• Check hold till complete orders daily

Warehousing

• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse
• Maintain all stocking locations ensuring stock is located in a neat and orderly manner
• Ensure all stock is assigned to a bin location, verify bin locations periodically
• Cancel bin locations for items no longer stocked, removing part number labels from vacated locations
• Perform inventory counts
• Investigate inventory discrepancies
• Additional duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma, or equivalency, is required
• Previous work experience working in a warehouse environment, or with Parts is desirable
• Mechanical experience with machinery is an asset
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook) and ERP system
• Comfortable working to externally imposed deadlines (ie., pickup/drop off, inventory)
• Additional skills required:
  • Mobility: Able to walk and stand consistently, reach above shoulders occasionally and bend frequently
  • Visual Discrimination: Able to consistently identify objects and persons at a distance, read customer forms, purchase orders, etc. and discriminate shapes and colours
  • Hearing: Able to consistently distinguish normal sounds with some background noise, multiple sounds in a stimulated environment and verbal language and tones on the telephone
  • Speech: Able to speak clearly and communicate effectively on a one-to-one basis with customers and also in a variety of formal and informal group settings
  • Concentration: Able to concentrate on moderate and fine detail with frequent interruptions
  • Conceptualization: Able to consistently understand and relate to several specific ideas at one time
