The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a motivated Parts Warehouse Person to join our team in Lakewood, Washington. As the Parts Warehouse Person you will process incoming goods and outgoing orders in a timely manner, ensuring goods are neatly and accurately stored. The Parts Warehouseperson will be working both independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Parts Warehouse Person your key responsibilities will include:

• Generate receiving reports for incoming stock orders
• Receive goods, correctly identifying goods received and verifying received quantity against vendor packing slip
• Stock goods received, ensuring goods are placed in correct bin location or assign new bin location to goods not previously in inventory
• File vendor packing slips and carrier waybill copies
• Receive inter-branch stock transfers
• Process printed orders in a timely manner, reviewing shipping requirements, and determine urgency of order
• Pull items listed on order from inventory
• Notify sales staff and inventory team of any inventory discrepancies encountered when filling order
• Pack orders, check all items pulled against packing slip to ensure order accuracy
• Prepare shipping documentation for order
• Contact carrier as needed to request pickups
• File packing slip copies
• File bills of lading & carrier waybill copies for outgoing shipments
• Answer branch inquiries on orders
• Pull parts for service work orders and place parts on technician shelves in an organized manner, combining parts for work orders into organized groupings
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse
• Maintain stocking locations in a neat and orderly manner
• Ensure all stock is assigned to a bin location and verify bin locations periodically
• Perform inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
• Adopt company lean six sigma methodologies and incorporate 6S policies throughout warehouse areas and workflow

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• High school diploma, or equivalency, is required
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or working with parts is preferred
• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Outlook and ERP systems
• Comfortable working with and meeting deadlines

The base pay range for this role is: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour.

This is an onsite role based in Lakewood, WA.
