LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a part-time school year teaching position in Norwalk, CT. We would love to collaborate with you and help more students journey towards their full potential.

The certified teacher will work in a unique outpatient treatment center, which involves working with adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 6 students within each group
• Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
• Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student

Position entails a 20-hour a week commitment, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. The four-hour day consists of two hours of class time, and two hours of prep/admin time. Qualifications:

• CT Teaching Certification Required or open to reciprocity for out of state teaching certifications
• Comfortable working with adolescents ages 12-17
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
