Job Title: Lead Teacher Position

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development and Implementation:

- Design and implement lesson plans in alignment with the Learning to Flourish curriculum.

- Integrate positive education principles to promote a growth mindset, resilience, and emotional intelligence.

- Regularly assess and adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.

2. Classroom Management:

- Create a joyful, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

- Implement effective classroom management strategies, emphasizing positive reinforcement.

- Address any classroom issues with compassion, adhering to our Positive Behavior Management Plan.

3. Student Assessment and Progress Tracking:

- Regularly assess students' academic and socio-emotional growth.

- Maintain detailed records and portfolios for each student, documenting milestones, achievements, and areas of improvement.

- Communicate progress and concerns to parents/guardians regularly.

4. Parental Engagement:

- Foster open communication with parents/guardians about their child's progress and well-being.

- Coordinate parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events to strengthen community involvement.

- Collaborate with families to ensure a seamless connection between home and school.

5. Professional Growth:

- Participate in professional development opportunities provided by Learning to Flourish.

- Collaborate with colleagues, sharing insights and best practices.

- Stay updated with the latest research and trends in early childhood education and positive psychology.

6. Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with assistant teachers, specialists, and administrative staff to provide a comprehensive learning experience for students.

- Assist in mentoring and guiding new teachers or interns.

- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and planning sessions.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a lead teaching role.

- Familiarity with positive education principles and practices is a plus.

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their holistic development.
