Learning Lab is Hiring a Preschool Teacher Near Ashland, OR

We are seeking a Preschool Teacher to join our team! This is a rare opening at a very well-known and loved preschool in Ashland. Our school is known for providing exceptional preschool education to all of our students. We offer Montessori teachings, STEAM lessons, hand-on learning, and a rich learning environment. We are looking for an OUTSTANDING person to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual, creative, and emotional growth
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students
  • Duties of the job include preparing and executing a theme-based curriculum, supervision, partnering with parents to provide high-quality early childhood education, and working as part of a professional team

Qualifications:

  • Candidate MUST have a degree/diploma related to working with young children (Early Childhood Education). Preferred Step level 8 or higher
  • Qualified candidates must be teacher qualified per the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care's Child Care Licensing Division
  • Qualified candidates must be currently enrolled, or willing to enroll in the Central Background Registry (background check)
  • Qualified candidates must possess or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid card, Food Handler's card, Introduction to Child Care Health & Safety course, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect, Sleep Training....and other preschool REQUIRED courses per the Department of Early Learning
  • Candidates must be willing to take at least 15 hours of additional professional development classes Annually
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing fluently in English
  • Positive and patient demeanor

Benefits:

  • Holiday pay, including a week-long paid Winter Holiday break and Spring Break

  • Great wage...depending on experience ($17.00-$25.00)
  • Expected work week 15 hours. Great for someone looking for part-time work.
  • 5 hour shifts, 3 times a week
