Your Role as an ABA Behavior Technician

As a part-time ABA Behavior Technician at Learning ARTS, you'll play a pivotal role in positively impacting the lives of children with ASD and their families. Your responsibilities will include: 

A Day in the Life

  • Travel to the clinic or the client's home for therapy sessions.
  • Implement ABA therapy techniques and interventions as per the behavior intervention plan.
  • Conduct engaging one-on-one therapy sessions, focusing on skill development and social interactions. Set up an exciting environment for the client, complete with therapy materials.
  • Attend team meetings to track progress and discuss treatment plans.
  • Use data collection tools to measure progress.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA to adjust treatment strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to the client's family.
  • Document session notes and complete required paperwork.
  • Ensure a clean and organized therapy environment. 

Please Note: Some therapy sessions may be at the clinic, while others will be at the client's home. This part-time position typically offers weekday hours from 3 PM to 8 PM, accommodating client and family availability. 

Qualifications


Qualifications 

  • Ability to actively engage with kids for 20 minutes at a time.
  • Availability for at least 12 hours per week (afternoons and evenings).
  • Strong interpersonal and teaching skills.
  • Proficiency in computers and writing.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Proof of Immunization (MMR and Varicella). Learning ARTS will assist in getting the needed immunization records.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • U.S. work authorization.
  • Military service is a plus.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, twist, and lift 50 lbs.
