What you can expect in this role at Learn4Life High School - Charleston:

The Substitute Teacher will teach students in a personalized learning environment may be working directly in special education, working in a general education, and with one-on-one with students or small group of students. Provide instruction for scheduled lessons and promote student learning in the absence of the regular teacher. Perform duties in the implementation and support of instructional programs and will collaborate with other Teachers on student progress. This position reports to the Principal or the Designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Meet the South Carolina requirements for education certification.
• Have completed 60 college credit hours and/or have completed 2 years of college is preferred, but not required.
• Enrollment in a State approved educator preparation program and student teaching is preferred, but not required.
• Proficient sills in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), education technology and application.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
