League School for Autism is Hiring a RESIDENTIAL FLOOR MANAGER II Near East Walpole, MA

League School for Autism is an award-winning, year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the autism spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking RESIDENTIAL FLOOR MANAGERS for our two student residential houses. Annual salary starts at $57,750 plus additional $2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS after 60 days. The weekly schedule will be as follows:oSunday 8a-4poMonday 1p-9poTuesday 1p-9poWednesday 8a-4poThursday 1p-9p Position Requirements:•Bachelor’s degree in human service area (psychology, sociology or related fields) and/or experience with special needs children in a residential setting required. •Experience with Autistic students in a residential education setting is preferred.•CPR, Safety Care and First Aid certifications.•Valid driver’s license.•Must pass CORI background check.Supervision Received: Operations ManagerDuties and Responsibilities include the following:General Responsibilities1.Act as a member of a multidisciplinary team to share strengths and provide input on plans for assigned students across settings.2.Make decisions regarding emergencies, student behavior, staff assignments, and activity schedules.3.Communicate emergencies directly with the Operations or Milieu Manager, and/or Director of Residential Education, according to the Emergency Procedures Policy.4.Coordinate the scheduling of all home visits and provide notification to the School team and School Nurse. 5.Implement League School for Autism policies concerning the care, safety, treatment and health of all League School for Autism students, including fire drill procedures, locations and use of fire-extinguishing equipment and emergency exits, runaway procedures, first aid and seizure procedures, time-out procedures, medication procedure.6.Provide social, leisure time, recreational, daily living activities for student(s) in accordance with their individual service plan and Individualized Educational Program(s).7.Attend and participate in staff meetings and staff training as required.8.Ensure completion/submission of all required daily, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as scheduled (logs, mail, requests, etc. as needed, maintaining an organized filing system).9.Ensure all staff have access to and follow documentation responsibilities in the student record.10.Completes all facilities and IT requests as needed.11.Other duties as required by Operations and Milieu Manager, Director of Residential Education, and/or Director of EducationSupervision/Training1.Monitors staff performance management, including evaluations and developmental plans, disciplinary actions, etc., for all floor staff as scheduled. 2.Gives staff appropriate praise, recognition, and corrective feedback. 3.Meets and documents supervision with assigned staff at least biweekly and ensures supervisor is aware of strengths and areas for development for all employees.4.Supervises staff attendance at trainings and monitors development through teaching, acting as a role model, and guiding staff on appropriately working with and interacting with students, other staff, families, and guardians. 5.Is familiar with and implements all League School for Autism personnel policies, including responsibilities and procedures regarding vacation, sick, personal, and professional time, and job termination.6.Responsible for learning the medication disbursement procedures through training with the School Nurse and maintains ongoing responsibility for the disbursement of student medications. Ensures proper documentation in the student’s electronic student record.Supervision of Students1.Ensures all students are treated with respect and dignity.2.Provides program oversight and expertise to all staff regarding students served within the program.3.Provides and supervises small or large-group activities for other students, as scheduled.4.Ensures that meals are prepared for/with students, participates in mealtime, and supervises clean-up of facilities after meals.5.Reviews the waking up/bedtime, dressing, grooming, and meal routines of the students and provides input to specialists and managers.6.Ensures that medication administration is completed and documented in accordance with school policy.7.Establishes individual relationships with, and is able to work with, each student according to his/her treatment care plan, daily living objectives and specific behavior management program.8.Provides students with an opportunity to self-advocate and voice opinions by holding a student-focused house meeting one time per week. Provides a summary to the assigned supervisor weekly.Finance1.Assists in the monitoring of budget; assists with monthly review of financial statements for assigned residences.2.Submits appropriate receipts by the assigned deadline to the Operations Manager weekly, ensuring that the purchases made were approved and receipts are reconciled with credit card statements.3.Ensures all students have access to tangible items including food, clothing, and leisure items.
