Role/Job Summary:

As a Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant at LeafyPack, you will be responsible for the design development of all visual brand communications. You will be part of the marketing team that creates and executes stunning graphic design, branding, and more.

Using your considerable design experience and innovative thinking, you will be tasked with working with the team in creating designs for visual brand communications, but you may also be called upon for other design tasks (photography, illustration, graphic design, etc.) based on your skillset. This position is located in Costa Mesa, California, and reports to the Director of Marketing at the LeafyPack HQ.

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various design software and possess a keen eye for detail. As a Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant, you will work on a variety of projects to create visually appealing content that resonates with our target audience.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (or similar)
• 2-8 years of work experience in visual design or a related field
• Must be able to show a portfolio of work that reflects creative thinking, broad range, and modern, minimalist taste.
• Excellent at creating and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
• Exceptional visual and oral communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple parallel-path projects.
• Demonstrated an ability to deliver successful designs under tight timing constraints and provide examples of such scenarios throughout career.
• Exceptional knowledge of visual design and demonstrated proficiency in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to effectively engage with a wide range of cross-function business partners
• Demonstrates a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working both collaboratively and individually
• Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design assets for events, communications, web, marketing, sales, products, and anything else that needs graphic design work to communicate LeafyPack’s visual style in a creative way. This can be anything from full-on campaigns from start-to-finish or unique one-off properties.
• Some project will require you to work with engineers, technicians, and other professionals within the company.
• Participate in cross-functional strategy, timing, and process discussion as it pertains to the brand and our visual design principles.
• Work cross-functionally with designers of other disciplines.
• Work with suppliers to achieve our design goals on any physical assets.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to complete prototypes when necessary.
• Occasionally participate in design efforts outside of your area of expertise as necessity and as your own skillset dictates.
• Monitor, execute, filter, and measure the social media presence of the company on multiple platforms.
• Create engaging graphics for print and digital platforms
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visual concepts
• Design layouts, logos, and other branding materials
• Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDraw, and WordPress for design projects
• Conduct photo manipulation, typesetting, and color management
• Provide art direction and contribute to visual design strategies
• Ensure brand consistency and adherence to design guidelines

Requirements:

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDraw, and WordPress
- Strong portfolio showcasing skills in stigmatise, visual design, and digital art
- Experience in photo manipulation, typesetting, and color management
- Knowledge of art direction principles and branding concepts
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
