LEAF Properties, Inc. is Hiring a Maintenance Person Near Kansas, MO

JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance Staff is responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in ensuring the school facilities and grounds are in optimal condition and provide a safe, functioning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role assists with the maintenance, repairs, and security of building and equipment, as well as maintaining compliance with local and state regulations and interacting with service vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preventative and general maintenance and upkeep responsibilities including minor mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, light carpentry, painting and landscaping
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and grounds to determine areas of repair needed
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Maintain excellent customer service and rapport with admin/staff, teachers, students and other external or internal stakeholders
  • Operate snow removal equipment to maintain sidewalks and driveways
  • Move furniture and equipment, use of hand and power tools, electric meters, etc.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • General knowledge of facility preventative maintenance and repair
  • Experience with basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC
  • Ability to initiate and complete work orders
  • Have a valid driver's license, be able to drive, and qualify under the insurance carrier when driving a company vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Pass a pre-employment background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
