Leadership Development Program

Must be a seasoned Facilitator who has number of years of experience in facilitating leadership programs both in person and remote. Must have sound experience of consulting/utilizing variety of assessment tools including DISC, 180-360 degree etc. Certification in these tools is nice to have. Experience working in the public sector, within defense entities (Naval/US Army) is preferred - Consultants/Advisors/retired defense officers are relevant for this position.

Leading Teams and Groups

Leading People

Familiar with Learning Management Systems (Canvas) and other tools & techniques of adult learning. Shall have extensive knowledge and experience in managing and leading in the Federal government environment evidenced by former Federal employee status. Tangible evidence/documentation of success in teaching leadership concepts with applications to higher levels when facilitating the courses. Comfortable in developing case studies, simulations, and other learning exercises and materials drawn chiefly from the government/public sector. The facilitator for the program shall have in-depth subject matter expertise, as well as public sector understanding of complex public sector challenges. Must have in-depth knowledge and background that allows to relate key points and real -world examples from a broad spectrum of government agencies and initiatives. Be a an efficient and effective POC for end- to- end management and delivery of the program.

SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

At Leading Edge Skills (LES), we refer to our instructors as trainers because they go above and beyond mere instruction. Our trainers are IT experts that possess engaging personalities, a strong passion for technology, and a knack for making the complicated simple. In addition to imparting training, the LES trainer role supports our organization’s overall objective to continually improve the effectiveness of learning by creating IT-related videos and learning experiences that our learners can trust. Responsibilities include researching current trends and certifications in the IT industry, developing curriculum, creating instructional videos, product demonstrations, virtual labs, quizzes, and supplemental files designed to help individual learners, small businesses, enterprise teams, and government agencies achieve their IT-related goals. The LES trainer is also responsible for reviewing content created by other trainers to ensure that we always deliver our learners the highest quality content.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Create accurate, concise, and engaging content on a regular basis
  • Increase traffic to LES website (www.leadingedgeskills.com) by delivering timely and relevant content
  • Increase usage of products and features such as virtual labs and practice exams
  • Receive positive learner reviews
  • Meet or exceed the Quality Control Standards set forth by the Learning Content team

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stay up to date on current technologies, certifications, exams, and other Business & IT news
  • Develop course curriculum leveraging your real-world experience and exam-related objectives
  • Design, develop, edit, and submit knowledge & skill-based instructional videos
  • Create effective learning experiences utilizing quizzes, demonstrations, labs, and other tools at your disposal
  • Collaborate with other instructors, illustrators, and other teams (e.g., Learning Content and Marketing)
  • Provide timely & constructive peer review of content created by your colleagues
  • Act as a brand ambassador for LES
  • Participating in recruitment campaigns.

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES/EDUCATION:

  • Education required:

A graduate degree in education, adult learning, organizational psychology,
leadership, or similar, related field.

  • Skills/experience required:
  • Independent thinker and self-starter
  • Attention to detail
  • Collaborative and comfortable working on a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge in computer networking, operating systems (both Windows and Unix based operating systems), and virtualization (cloud and on-premise);
  • Incident Response core skills including security event review, log analysis, host analysis, email analysis, and network analysis;
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Windows or Linux forensic analysis (acquisition/evidence handling, rapid triage, and in-depth analysis to answer common analytic questions);
  • Creating data analysis, statistics, and visualizations;
  • Testing penetration and offensive security techniques;
  • Having knowledge of malware analysis, Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering and reverse engineering;
  • Responsible for driving Vulnerability Management process execution in the Business Units whether externally reported or Internally discovered (Intake, Triage, Planning, Execution, Customer Notification, lessons learned, etc)
  • Good understanding and experience of key topics in Cybersecurity as Vulnerability Management, Risk Management, Incident Response, Penetration Testing, Quality assurance
  • Understanding of digital forensics, including one or more of the following a strong plus:
  • File system, Registry, etc. artifacts commonly associated with malware or malicious activities.
  • Memory analysis
  • Malware reverse engineering
  • Experience with AWS Cloud services
