LE0005 Associated Medical Professionals of NY, LLC is Hiring a Lead Radiation Registered Nurse Near Syracuse, NY

The Radiation Oncology division of AMP is looking to add a Clinical Nurse Team Lead to our current staffing. If you are a highly motivated, patient focused, team-oriented individual looking to make a difference in your career, this is the position for you! This position will require coverage for both the Syracuse and New Hartford Offices. Hours are Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm or 8:30-5pm, depending on business/patient needs. Essential Functions: In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services and Supervisor of Radiation Oncology, ensures all patient and practice needs are met within the guidelines of AMP policy and procedure and according to the AMP Mission, Vision, and Values. Coordinates proper training processes for all newly hired staff members to ensure effective treatment of all patients within AMP policy guidelines. In collaboration with Supervisor of Radiation Oncology, monitors daily operating activity such as work load, staff and productivity. Works with the nursing team to delegate work appropriately and ensure balance of responsibilities. Directs M.D. and/or PA/ NP patient schedule throughout the day. Assists with complicated prior authorizations for medications and completes disability paperwork. Responsible for completing, in a timely manner, AMP training and in-services, including but not limited to annual OSHA training. Maintains working knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and applies these policies and procedures to daily responsibilities. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner making sure that examination rooms are set up for the day (stocking supplies, cleaning, changing solutions). During down-time tables, door handles, blood pressure cuffs, chairs and pull pars should be cleaned. Prepares room & equipment for office procedures assisting providers with office procedures to carry out clinical care including preparing the patient for their appointment. The Clinical Team Leader explains procedures to the patients addressing any questions or concerns they may have. The Clinical Team Leader is responsible for making sure that all patients have been discharged, exam rooms are stocked, clean and lights have been turned off. Collaborates with Office Team Lead and Radiation Oncology Supervisor to arrange and conduct meetings at the end of each workday to include review of all patients seen that day and patients to be seen the following workday to ensure all necessary items regarding patient care have been addressed. Monitors eyewash stations, refrigerator temperatures and other office equipment. Documents all nursing interventions performed using the EMR including date, time, meds, dosage, site, adverse reactions, type of administration, etc. Reports any adverse medication events to supervising provider and Radiation Oncology Supervisor. Triage patient calls with professionalism and courtesy understanding that some patients require more time than others. Resolves patient issues and concerns as effectively as possible. Able to assess, plan and document patient issues. Counsel, educate and perform patient teaching. Completes a review of systems and a medication check with patients: checks recent labs performed outside of AMP, hospital visits and other physician visits. Assess the reason for the scheduled appointment. Documents all nursing interventions performed using the EMR including date, time, meds, dosage, site, adverse reactions, type of administration, etc. Performs all other duties as assigned.
